The Center has established an international exchange for eligible students who are enrolled in a graduate program abroad, whose visit here would be critical to their studies at home.Requirements for a special visiting research students are:
- A letter from the student's home institution confirming (a) current enrollment of the student, (b) that the visit is critical to his/her studies back home, and (c) the amount of funding being provided to the student (see next bullet).
- Proof of funding. The minimum allowable funding is $19,000 per academic year (or $1,583 per month). The proof of funding must come from a third-party institution such as a university, a foundation, etc.
- Health insurance coverage that meets or exceeds the minimum regulatory requirement.
Students who are interested in this program should send their CVs to Carmen Batista. CVs should be accompanied by a cover letter indicating:
- areas of interest and/or proposed project
- time and duration of visit
- three academic references
- that the student can meet the above requirements.
Eligible candidates will be requested to participate in a telephone interview and provide three original, signed letters of recommendation from their academic advisors and references.
