The Importance of Being . . . A Sponsor

Published May 16, 2014

One of the most gratifying experiences in life is helping others to achieve their goals. At the 12th New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science, “Bioactive Scaffolds: From Synthetic Polymers to ECM to Decellularized Tissues”, companies and other organizations have an opportunity to do just that. This year we have created two new means of helping young scientists to excel and achieve their goals through the means of scholarship and poster award sponsorships.

In addition to the various levels of commercial and exhibitor sponsorships that we offer, these two new levels go directly to helping young scientists to participate in the leading regional symposium on biomaterial science. By helping them to supplement the cost of attendance as well as the support for excellence in poster presentations, companies and individuals can help make a difference in the quality of scientific research performed by these emerging scientists.

Scholarships can provide attendance for four Rutgers students enrolled in Chemistry, Biomedical Science or Bioengineering disciplines to attend the two-day symposium. A donation of $1500 to the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials, will ensure that these students will have the opportunity to learn from and meet with the leaders in their chosen field of study. Scholarship sponsors will receive a complimentary registration for the event, appropriate recognition in all Symposium publications and the opportunity to meet and network with over 200 of the top scientists and professionals in the biomaterials field.

The 12th New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science will, as in past years, attract a wide variety of scientific poster presentations. We have planned a poster award program with prizes awarded to the top three posters. For a contribution to this effort of $1000, poster award sponsors will become part of the judging committee. As a member of the judging committee, poster award sponsors will receive a complimentary registration for the event, appropriate recognition in all Symposium publications and the opportunity to meet and network with over 200 of the top scientists and professionals in the biomaterials field.

Being a sponsor for the 12th New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science helps our new scientists and researchers in their work. Sponsorship also serves to maintain the region as being a leading center for the development of products and materials that will have direct impact on the lives and well being for those who have suffered debilitating injury and illnesses.
