RUTGERS

Undergraduate Summer Internship Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Each year, the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials (NJCBM) proudly hosts a select group of promising undergraduate students to participate in its Undergraduate Summer Internship Program. The program matches promising undergraduate students with faculty mentors in the area of biomaterials research for 12 weeks (May 15-August 15). Selected students will conduct laboratory research on a pre-determined project and will showcase their summer work in a symposium at the end of the program. The goal of the program is to expose promising undergraduate students to scientific research and the laboratory environment, while providing individualized mentoring and hands-on experience in an on-going research study.

WHO SHOULD APPLY
Undergraduate students in good academic standing, majoring in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, and other related areas are encouraged to apply. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a strong interest in biomaterials research are preferred.
